Breaking: Dana Grove resigns as Morton College president

On Monday morning an email was sent on behalf of the Morton College Board of Trustees informing the staff and faculty of President Dana Grove’s resignation.  


At the next regular Board of Trustee meeting, the Board of Trustees will officially receive and acknowledge Grove’s resignation. At that time, a plan will be outlined for a presidential search.

Dana Grove has served as Morton College President since 2013. Below are a few highlighted issues that Grove oversaw while serving as President.


-Improved academic standing with the Higher Learning Commission. 

-Increase in tuition to help replace old technology on campus.

-Implementation of campus-wide Wi-Fi.

-Partnership with Paisan’s as MC’s official food vendor.

-$4.5 million capital investment from the Illinois Jobs Now! program.

-Beginning of construction on the new building .

-Morton College’s mention for the 2015 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence

-Morton College named to the Top 10 list of small community colleges by e.Republic’s Center for Digital Education’s Digital Community Colleges Survey


Provost Muddassir Siddiqi will take on the responsibilities of the President of the college until a new President is selected.
